Happy Summer Reader,
I hope you are enjoying the sunshine if you've had a long wet Spring. If it's been warm for you for a while I hope you are taking in cool drinks and lots of fresh fruit.
Here are my June recipes for you featuring Strawberries!
Wouldn't it be great if they were called Heart berries? I'm reading Braiding Sweetgrass again.

Strawberry Basil Seed Pudding Parfait
This refreshing parfait features basil seeds. Similar to chia seeds but with twice the fiber, calcium and iron. They also hydrate in only 5 minutes!
If you really love rose flavored or scented items, check out this heavenly smelling Rose de Mai shampoo by Diane Bonheur. Made in Japan. It's designed by world-renowned master perfumery in Grasse, France for the highest quality fragrance. The Grasse Rose Shampoo repairs coarse hair caused by moisture loss, chemical treatments, and unruly wavy textures (That's me!) I've been using shampoo bars and conditioner for a few years and bought this recently. The bottle is so pretty too and I plan to reuse it.
I like to buy it from Weee but it's also on Amazon.com.
What's your favorite way to celebrate summer? What's your go-to meal? Besides continued strawberry treats I'm really looking forward to eating more cucumber, tomato, chili crisp tofu. We got our first cherry tomatoes in our garden this weekend and had this easy to put together meal for the 1st time this season. This recipe from the NYT is fantastic.
Enjoy the rest of June and I'll be back in your inbox in July!
